The term "born again" comes directly from the words of Jesus in the Gospel of John:

Whether you believe it or not, many of the beliefs that you have right now you have inherited them through the environment and from the people live with: so you are the product of their fears and lack of knowledge and opinions and the way they live their lives
So it other words you have to remove all the junk from your system in other to have a different mentality! It might be scary sometimes to learn and change but you have to grow and change, and eventually let go of things that sabotage your relationship with the Lord Jesus and your eternal destiny....
We have to clear a lot of confusion and destroy the lies that the Devil have planted in your life and receive the word of the Lord (Matthew 13:27 & Luke 8:5).
If your are careless and keep ignoring this lies of the Devil you in trouble like many believers out there that are deceived, so take this serious and make up your mind before it too late and regret it!

Being born again means you'll never sin again.
Truth:
While being born again gives you a new nature and the power to resist sin, it doesn't make you instantly perfect. Christians still struggle with sin but have the Holy Spirit to help them overcome it. -

You need to have a dramatic, emotional experience to be born again.
Truth:
While some people have powerful emotional experiences, others have a more gradual realization. The key is the heart change, not the emotional fireworks. -
Misconception:
Being born again is the same as water baptism.
Truth:
While water baptism is an important symbol of spiritual rebirth, it's not the same thing. Being born again is an internal spiritual reality, while baptism is an external symbol of that reality. -
Misconception:
Once you are born again, your life will be problem-free
Truth:
Jesus promised his followers would have troubles in this world (John 16:33). Being born again gives you a new perspective on problems and the strength to face them, but it doesn't eliminate them. -

Being born again is a one-time event that requires no further action.
Truth:
While the initial spiritual rebirth is a singular event, it initiates a lifelong process of growth and transformation. It requires ongoing nurturing of your relationship with God.

Born again simply means "Born of the Spirit:" the Third Person of the Godhead Trinity, The Spirit Of Christ Jesus is what makes You born again.
You must be born of the Spirit, that is, it is the second birth: what we normally know is that we are born of the flesh by our mother's, which is the first birth in this case, and this is for everyone and the Holy Spirit is excluded, only your mother and father are the once needed; While on the other hand, the second birth or being born the second time is by the Spirit, now this is where the Holy Spirit comes in and for true believers or saints of Christ Jesus only.
This birth no one gets it except he or she repents and believes in the Son of God only then that is when The Lord Jesus baptizes you with His Spirit, then walla YOU ARE BORN AGAIN!
These might seem like a lot to bite, and truly speaking it is, it will require a whole chapter dedicated to the Holy Ghost alone; to learn some of the fundamentals and who He really is.
